To say we’re excited is a big understatement!
We have been awarded funding to set up a peer mentoring scheme for cared-for-young people.
What does this mean? We plan to work with young people who have recently started living independently and ask them for their experiences of living in care, and, importantly, what messages they would have liked to have had when entering care.
These messages will form short ‘ my story’ videos which we will record and help them to edit, and we will send these on to young people in care in Norfolk to help them on their journey. We will also be publishing details on our website.
We’re also going to be carrying out fun monthly workshops – cookery, craft and art. We’ve been doing this via Zoom, but we can’t wait to get our hands covered in paint and see our participants in person.
Later this year, in August, we plan a grand exhibition of the creations our young people have achieved, and we’d love you to come along and participate. We will have crafts demonstrations, have-a-go art workshops for kids and more.

Thank you to all the National lottery Players who helped to make this project possible. it means a great deal to us and to the young people we work with!
